go in your trunk and pull back the carpet on the passenger side quarter panel look up by the antenna area find the wire that is not connected to anything..... green I think ground out that wire and your locks should lock than unlock when that happens hit the trunk button on your new key fob than your lock button once you confirm the key fob is working your locks... your done un-ground the wire and tuck it back up where you found it

It can only be done with a GM tech2 scanner, so you either need to go to your local dealer,or find a local repair shop that has one.
Either use the key fob to lock and unlock the doors or use the key to turn the ignition.

There is a gm part number on the back of the fob. Take that number, and your vin number, to your local Chevy dealer, who has an interchange book, or, your local wreckig yard, has the same. They can tell you. There is also a tester for those. I think only GM will have one of those.
