My kodiak 400 2003 idles well but when you throttle away it chugs like its no getting any fuel does any one have any clues

The Yamaha Kodiak 400 will go at top speed 55mph on a dirt road. It will go 67mph on a hard road I'm a country boy with a yamaha kodiak and it goes that exact speed.
there is a little screw on the back of the carb. if you loosen it, it will idle slower, tighten it, it will idle faster.
