under the back seat passenger side
first you need to state what liter the engine is.
The 1998 Buick Riviera air conditioner compressor is located in the engine compartment. The air conditioner compressor will be on the left-hand side of the engine.
What the heck are you trying to do ???
under the back seat. not 2 hard
under the front end fender
check fuse or see if its plugged in under the seat
Your Explorer has a serpentine belt tensioner which keeps the proper tension on the serpentine belt unless the tensioner has failed.
Prs al the butens an it wul wark. =^.^=
It is under a plastic cover behind the passenger side headlamp assembly.
The official coolant is Dex-Cool (orange). However, you can use yellow. Do not use green
They have automatic tensioners. If the belt needs adjustment, either you have a bad tensioner or a worn belt.
Put the belt tensioner tool on the tensioner pulley, and push away from you. Then you can slide the belt off. You either need to cut it or unbolt the engine from its mount and slip it out.
you have to call any GM dealership and ask for the parts department and they will give you one for about $35-50.
Using a 14 mm wrench, loosen the bolt in the center of the tensioner pulley, then tighten the tensioner bolt with the same wrench. Then re-tighten the bolt in the center of the tensioner pulley when the belt is tightened to your liking.
Easiest way is to just pull the horn relay.
If you ask a question like that, on a forum like this. Go back to world of warcraft, take it to a mechanic, and have your parents pay for it.;
look on passenger side, front fender. Should see a small red box, flip it open.
I have used a socket with a ratchet handle. The ratchet will allow you to get more travel to move the pulley and get the belt off.
There is a Tensioner Pulley that you have adjust in order to tighten the belt. There is another hex bolt that can be screwed in or out depending on how you want to tighten or losen the belts. Adjust it until prefered tension is reached.
there are two belts, one for the accessories; alternator, power steering pump, AC..., then there is one expressly for the supercharger
Just did mine today. Too about an hour. Pretty straight forwar and no special tools require. Will provide photos later.
"How do you move the idle tensioner for a 1998 3 litre dodge?"
There is a special tool for that. Try a GM dealer's service center. They should know which one it is.
