There is only one serpentine belt and it has an automatic tensioner. It doesn't need to be "adjusted"
Open the hood and look. If it has a serpentine belt there is a tensioner.
you do not adjust tension on a serpentine belt the tension is automatcally adjusted if the belt is loose, replace the belt SOME TIMES THE TENSIONER CAN BE WEEK ALSO.
You cannot adjust the tension on this, it has a spring inside of it. If it is weak, it must be replaced.
Providing your cavalier has a 2.2l, this is what your looking at.
Done automatically by belt tensioner
Your Explorer has a serpentine belt tensioner which keeps the proper tension on the serpentine belt unless the tensioner has failed.

No-there is one belt tensioner for the entire engine belt assembly. The timing belt is a serpentine belt and if it is stretched out, it will need to be replaced. There is no way to adjust the timing belt once it is put on the vehicle.
The Alternator is mounted solidly to the engine. It does not adjust. You have to use a wrench to pry back the Serpentine Belt Tensioner ,, remove the belt ,, and then remove all of the bolts that hold the Alternator on.
Remove the serpentine belt and remove the alternator. The belt tensioner bolts are under the alternator.
The serpentine belt tensioner is spring loaded. There is no adjustment.
The belt tensioner is self-adjusting.
Should be automatic through the spring loaded belt tensioner
You can't. it has an automatic self adjusting belt tensioner on it.

GOOYEAR BELTS HAVE A DIAGRAM ON THE BACK OF THERE PACKAGE Sometimes these diagrams can also be found under the hood of your car. In my 1990 cavalier this sticker was located in the area where the serpentine belt goes on.
If the truck doesnt have a tensioner than you must adjust the alternator
Should be a square hole either 3/8" or 1/2" place a breaker bar in this hole and push or pull to relieve tension on belt tensioner to remove belt

There is no way to adjust the belt tensioner, if it's not keeping enough tension on the belt the complete tensioner itself will need replaced.
