You pick up the wiper blade as far as it will go WITHOUT forcing it-Look where IT connects 2 the piviot (OR) car-there is a very small lever @ the base-PULL it AWAY from the Piviot POINT (car) maybe 1/2 inch & let the wiper back toward the windshield-when it stops wich will be B 4 it touches the windshield - U will B able 2 POSITION the ARM whereEVER U want.

If the wipers are not parking correctly, you may simply need to replace the wiper motor. The wipers park when the motor runs backwards after the main power is cut off, and sometimes the switch gets broken inside the unit.

Turn the wipers off, pull the wiper arm off, and replace it in the correct down position.

Had that problem 02.25.09 & fixed the problem. On the firewall you will find a plastic compartment which houses the motor and arm assembly. The cover is plastic & has three snap connectors. Mine was FULL of dirt & leaves & other junk! After cleaning out all the junk not suppoed to be there, my wipers now park in the down position as they are supposed to. I did spray a little WD40 on the moving parts as well.

You can use a safety pin to do it.
