Investigate the company, remember what you like about the company (its products/services, positive things it has done for the community/society, where the company is headed in the future, if it's an established company (for job security), how you think you can help the company succeed, etc.). It really depends on what type of job you are applying for (professional compared to part-time high school/college job.
Just make sure to investigate the company. If you're in the US, you can see if it is a member of the Better Business Bureau (for a company of which you've never heard). And let them know you're interested in them because of the positive things they have done and give examples. Or mention a problem they may be having and how you are the solution to that problem.

I've used this method for every interview and have had overwhelming success with it - in fact, I know it helped me get hired over older and more seasoned applicants and landed me my current computer-related position at a Fortune 50 company at the ripe old age of 24!
The point is, you need to do more than just sell yourself in an interview - you want to make it automatic for the employer to hire you. You know that feeling you get when you go to a dealership and find a car that is EXACTLY what you've been looking for and you want it so bad you start imagining all the places you'll go with it? That's the feeling you're going for in your interview, or as close as you can to it. Even if you DON'T feel as qualified as others, you need to tie in your credentials to what the company is looking for, instead of just presenting them for the employer to look at, and then summarily ignore.
Focus on achievements, education and experience. Say something like "I am the person for this job because I have the drive and motivation to do my very best every day". Or something like "what makes me suitable for this position is my commitment. Once I commit, I try my best to fulfill my commitment and make sure no staff gets a complaint against me. I possess good communication skills and have an eye for detail. I am hard working, energetic and have the ability to take on challenges. Say anything appealing. This is appealing, so you can try this out. A potential employer wants to know you are self driven and self motivated. They want to know that they will not have to look over your shoulder as you work or tell you what to do twice. Good luck!
