on the right side of the ATV there is a blocking plate with 2 screws take it off. locatedabout where your ankle would set. it should have a nut to lock the adjustment screw. break loose the lock nut turn the adjustment screw in till it bottoms out clockwise then back out a quarter of a turn. then tighten lock nut back up without turn adjustment screw.
On the right side of the engine, there is a panel...right above the footpeg. Remove the 4 bolts and take the panel off. You will se a large nut with a Phillips head screw in the middle of the nut. Loosen the nut, turn the screw inward until you feel resistance..then back it out an 8th of a turn and tighting the large outer nut.
This is a relatively easy job but requires a lot of column inches and time to explain. The best explanation around is in the Haynes Manual No 2351, ISBN.9781563925221. It also lists the safety equipment and any special tools required. These manuals are available everywhere and often discounted online. Similarly, the clutch parts are readily available too. As an alternative to the Haynes there is the equally excellent Clymer M466 series manual that covers KLf and KVF 300s 2 and 4 wheel drive.
