There is not enough room or time hereto identify the many areas you can obtain an associates degree in.I know of some community colleges that offer well over 90 different programs of study. Programs at the associates level may be divided into various areasto include an, Associatesof Arts (AA), Associates of Science (AS), and Associates of Applied Science (AAS) degree. Every Community College has these programs broken down on their applications, however for an at a glance view, go to the colleges web site and click under programs of study. There it will list all the program offereings within each degree area.

∙ 14y agoThe associates degree is designed as a two year program of study as a full-time student provided the student takes the degree as prescribed by the college, and provided the student does not require prerequisite coursework as a result of basic skills testing. There are some programs of study that may take a bit longer depending on the number of credits required. Usually these are programs within the health related fields. In addition, for students who require developmental course work as a result of basic skills testing, it would take longer. How much longer would depend on the extent of the developmental courses they are required to take. Evidently, those individuals who attend college on a part-time based would also extend their time in school. How much longer would depend on the credit load carried each semester. Typically, an associates degree takes between 60 and 64 credits to complete depending on the specific school, program of study, and state mandates.

Why do many questionnaires only have 'some college' as an option for people who have an associate's degree?
I hate how some applications don't have "Associates Degree" as an option. If you have an associates degree and you are filling out an application like that, you should write "Associates Degree in ____" on the side. I think that shows pride in your achievements, and you deserve to feel proud of getting an associates degree. "Some college" does not mean "associates degree". Someone who took 2 college classes could check "some college", and you took about 20. I agree with the above contributor. Applications should have a designation for the completion of an Associates degree. An Associates degree shows completion. There are Associates degrees as an Registered nurse, in Technology, Educating, multiple Allied Health fields, and the list goes on, and on, and on.
