Currently, I am a student myself and I am doing well in my studies. Therefore, I would like to share based on my experiences on how to do well in your studies.

1. Pay attention in class. I know morning classes can be quite "painful" sometimes. Just make sure you get enough sleep when possible and try to pay attention to every single details lectured by your professor. Even if you blink for a second, you miss something important. That's what I believe.
2. Just paying attention is not enough. You would most probably cramp everything in your head for that hour or so, the next day you will most probably forget 60-70% of what your professors had lectured. Researchers suggest that note taking helps to preserve what you are writing into your head. Therefore, besides paying attention, take notes too.
3. Do your homework. Professors give you homework and assignments for a reason. They believe it will help to learn something new and it will be useful for in class. Therefore, do your homework and assignments, not last minute work because I believe that students who tend to do last minute work do not produce a work of their best ability. To me, they are more concern with the amount of time left rather than the quality of the work.
4. Ask questions. Successful people often advice that we use our resources wisely. This is not an exception. Our professors are our best resources. Ask questions when you do not understand a topic or you have questions that are out of classroom but related to the field of study,I am sure your professors will be glad to help you.
5. Understand and enjoy what you are learning. People tend to learn better when they understand what are they learning and how it will help them succeed in the real life. From the understanding of the materials, it will stimulate your interest in the materials and definitely help you learn better.
