How do you be an expert on a category on Answers?

1. Start by editing your profile. Click on edit on your profile page. Scroll down, and you'll see the options to add personal details under My Settings. Be sure to include a photo of yourself, your name, and a tagline (and don't be shy about including words such as "awesomeness" and "experience").
2. Click the orange "Save Changes" button at the top.
3. Now, click on the "Interests" tab. Click on the edit button.
4. Take a look at our categories, and choose those that you have knowledge in, experience in, or just really enjoy. Remember, we have over 8,000 categories, so there are plenty to choose from. You can find almost anything by typing in the "Start typing to pick a category" field.
5. Click the orange "Next" button at the bottom when finished.
6. Now, it's time to choose which of those categories you're an Expert in by clicking on the button on the right, AND including a short statement about why you're an Expert in that category (how many years experience? certification? degree? recognition? etc).
7. Click the orange "Save" button at the bottom.
8. You will now receive email notifications when a question is asked in one of these categories.
