You can study many things. The important things to study:

Biology, chemistry, organic chemistry, physics and mathematics - these are to prepare you for the MCAT and are pre-requisites for medical school entrance.

Be sure to get a broad education in the liberal arts as well. This helps you become a well rounded person who can relate to the multitude of patients with whom you will be interacting as a physician.

Maintain your own outside interests.

Literally any undergraduate major can become a physician. My wife, who is a pediatrician, had an undergraduate degree in music performance for the double bass. My undergraduate degree was in nursing. I went to medical school with computer programmers, as well as people who majored in biology, engineering, physics, etc.

Once in medical school, you need to do well, as general surgery is somewhat competitive, so you will need good grades, board scores and letters of recommendation.

I know this is not an answer but, DUDE! Thank you for the answer! It helped me so much. I am only twelve and I want to be a surgeon. Its really hard to get into medical school over here in New Zealand. Thanks!
