The advertised mini-games for Froot Loops included a Frootoctopus game and a pirate game in 2008 and 2009. Another mini-game was introduced in late September 2009, called "Black Beak's Cave". In March, 2010, Froot Loops sponsored the "Egyptian Ruins" ad-game. The games were available to most users, and all with a Poptropica age of 6 to 8.

The mini-game Black Beak's cave is a Froot Loops mini-game than began in September, 2009. This is one of a series of Froot Loops games on Poptropica (2008-2009).

The object of the game is to recover the Fruity Treasure (cereal-like gems) from the cave. The first part of the game is a series of climbing rock steps, with three large rocks that slide down to block Black Beak's pirates. If the pirates touch you, you get bashed a bit. At the top, you slide a rock to block the flow of water (or is it milk?) so that you can reach the treasure chest. Toucan Sam and his three nephews join you. With the treasure is the "color laser". In the second part of the game, you use the "laser" to stop the pirate crew from retaking the treasure. This is done by using the laser to make "loops" on the ground around the pirates, creating holes that they fall through. If you hold them off for 30 seconds, you have won.

The "laser" is actually a rainbow-colored trail following your mouse, and there is a superfluous "score" given for surrounding bunches of pirates. The score for 30 seconds (about a dozen pirates) will be between 50 and 100 points.

Your reward for completing the game is a monochromatic "colorizer" that can temporarily color other characters in Poptropica.

The "Froot Loop Sprinkles" game appeared on Poptropica in mid-September, 2010, as part of the promotion of the new cereal, Froot Loops with Sprinkles. The game consists of three simple challenges posed by a "witch doctor".

1) When you first jump up to see the witch doctor, you play a game in which you catch cereal pieces in a box as they fall. You do NOT have to catch every piece, but rather avoid catching loops and shapes that are NOT sprinkled cereal.

2) Climb up and slip beneath each of the large "1" stones as they move up and down. There is no time limit. Reaching the other side, you have the challenge to "bounce" a sprinkle in the air without letting it fall.

3) Going right again, you must DASH QUICKLY across the green blocks. If you stop on one, it disappears and you fall. Enter the final challenge, which is the most interesting and novel. You will try to maneuver your "catapult" directly under the witch doctor, then click it to fire before he disappears. You have to hit him 5 times to win. However, he is also using "magic shrinking sprinkles" to attack you as you move, and each time he hits you, your character grows progressively SMALLER, eventually unable to be seen. If he shrinks you away, you have to start that challenge over.

The reward for the game is the SHRINKING SPRINKLES to use on Poptropica characters. (It does not seem to affect their actions in the games.) You also get a fancy Witch Doctor costume.

The latest Apple Jacks cereal promotion appeared as an ad game on November 1, 2010. (It did not appear on all of the islands or for all age groups.) The game is basically a way to get an Apple Jacks "follower". Enter the store and talk to the characters Apple and CinnaMon, then go on the cereal aisle. Jump the four machines built by "Dr. Drab" that are pushing Drabbles (a fictitious cereal), and turn off their power switch at far right.

Your reward is an Apple Jacks follower, switchable between Apple and CinnaMon.

The "Froot Loops" Mummy's Tomb game appeared on Poptropica in late November, 2010. The object of the game is to find 6 Froot Loops hidden in the mummy's tomb without being hit by the mummies.

In the game, you have 1 minute to find all six colored Froot Loops, which are hidden around the tomb. The simplest way is to circle the tomb counter-clockwise, which lets you avoid much of the rope-climbing in the game. Enter the pyramid and talk to Toucan Sam, then enter the tomb. Go right, then down and left to find the Blue Froot Loop. Down the left side, you will find the Green and Yellow ones. Cross the bottom to reach the Orange Froot Loop at bottom right, then climb the ropes to reach first the Purple, then the Red at the very top. The tomb door will open back at the bottom, so carefully make your way back down. Hitting the mummies 3 times at any time is a failure and you must start over. Press the door, and the Froot Loop shield will spin to unlock it.

Your prizes are a Mummy Pharoah's costume and a Mummy Run display (5 colorfully-wrapped mummies run by).
