How do you become a 3ds ambassador?

To be an Xbox Community Ambassador you must meet the following requirements:

• 13 years old or older
• You can not have enforcement history within 365 days of the point you apply

If you bought the 3DS before the price drop at 12 august and connected at least one time to the eShop before 11:59pm in 11 august you have been automatic registered as an ambassador, if you did bought the 3DS before the price drop and did not connected to the eShop you need to send a proof to Nintendo that you bought it before 12 august and your 3DS number.

Nintendo 3DS owners who performed a system update or who visited the Nintendo eShop using a wireless broadband internet connection prior to 11:59 p.m. Eastern time on Aug. 11, 2011, were automatically registered for the program and can download the 20 free games from the Nintendo eShop.

that means that you can only be an ambassador if you had the 3DS system before august 11 2011. if you did had the system prior to that date you can download the games by going to the eShop and there go to setting/other and in downloads you can see if you have the games

You cannot 'become' part of the ambassador program if you bought your 3DS after August 12, 2011.

However, if you have purchased a 3DS before August 12, 2011 AND connected to the Nintendo Eshop before August 12, 2011, you can be eligible to be part of the ambassador program.
