How do you become an actress at 12 years old?

Here are some ideas that I think may help you:

• Focus on getting good grades in school so that you will have the opportunity to go to a good college where you can study acting.
• Get involved with school plays and community theatre.
• Take dancing lessons and singing lessons if that is available to you.
• Join the school choir, or even the school dance team if that is an option as well. Actresses who can sing and dance will have more opportunities.
• Read good literature: become familiar with famous plays and famous roles so that you will better understand how good stories are spun and how to empathize with the character in the story. For advice on this, you may want to ask your English teacher or anyone you know who likes to read good books. Shakespeare's plays are one famous example.
• Find a mentor. This could be anyone who is older than you that you meet through community theatre or in a school play, or even a teacher, a sibling, or a parent. This should be someone who you trust to give you good and honest critiques and who can help you as you start to think about your future career.
• Have fun and enjoy what you are doing! You don't want to turn what you love to do into a chore. Try to experience acting as much as you can, but, ultimately, you should be living a balanced life. One day you may find that you love some other job more and you want to act only as a hobby.

Thank you 4 the advice! but the 1 thing is : I cant sing! but i love 2 dance, i love it so much that i already (before i asked this question!) joined a couple of dance groups, i even got into a Dance Academy at my school! out of 100 people only 20 people go through! 1 of them was me!

My dream has always been 2 be in a film, i no that's thinkin 2 ahead and that may not happen, but im willing 2 take that chance!

What could i do if i didnt get into acting? is it possible i could be a professional dancer or something like that?

You might think im thinking a bit far-forward but i don't want to go through my school life, not knowing what 2 do with my work life when im older!
