I just changed the water pump and fan clutch on my 2002 trailblazer. I had to of course drain the coolant. I was reading in the book and it told me I needed to open the coolant bleeder hose. I looked everywhere and couldn't find it. Finally after getting completely frustrated I called the Chevy dealer to ask where it was. He said there is nothing to worry about that it will "burp" itself. Sure enough .. I drove it for about 10 minutes .. allowed it to cool a bit .. opened the radiator cap and filled up the radiator. Hope this helps!
