How do you bypass the vacuum on the front actuator?
This sounds like a YJ jeep issue, I eliminated the vacuum actuator by installing a heavy duty choke style manual cable attached to the vacuum actuator arm, that way I can lock the front diff when I wanted. Make sure you cap off the vacuum line, otherwise your engine will run poorly.
depends on what kind of vacuum

You need to pull the door panel off, it has screws in some spots around the edge, and flexible mushroom head pins in other areas around the edge. You use a small prybar only after you get all the screws out of the door panel...not before..or you will not like the way the panel fits back in place. IT… WON"T. The door handle inside, has a screw probably...in the area of the Finger latch that opens the door . Remove it and the Plastic Edge and Frame you see will come out, sliding past the Finger latch. Take the small flat edge prybar and as you pull the panel edge..work it under, near the mushroom head pins, and pry gently, but firmly. Often the pins will snap...and you will have to just replace them . Once you have gotten the door panel edges loose along the sides and bottom edges...you can lift the door panel up...verticly..a little ( 3 inches). You will see it loosen at the top . The window should be in the down position ..before you start to remove the door panel. Once the panel is off, remove the plastic sheeting at the rear ..side edge. You only need to peel it back towards the doors hinge. The electric lock mechanism is near the latch at the end. You will need to unplug the solenoid, unbolt it, and unclip the rod that runs up to the door latch/door handle. Careful..don't bend the rod. Replace the solenoid if it will not move. (Most common) You can buy at any auto part store...the mushroom head clips that broke..when you pryed the door panel loose. They are cheap..and you need them to keep the panel from flopping when you put it back in place. Do Not Leave the Plastic sheeting loose. Retape it into place, and any slits you have made in it when removed. This sheeting keeps the rain outside your car. Putting the door panel back , slide it into the window slot at the top of the door , sliding it straight downat first, then lifting the bottom out enough to get the finger latch into its hole, and then,,holding the panel out..twist your mushroom head pins into their positions around the door edge. There is nothing easy in this world it seems. I often have had my bodyshop friend...pull and install anything I needed in my doors. They do it so much...that they charge very little...and they always have the mushroom pins in large supply. Leaving my car for the day...and letting them work it in....has never been a problem. You can do it...I just prefer not to, most of the time. ( Full Answer )

Where can you find info on how to replace the drivers side front door actuator on a 1998 Honda Civic if it won't lock sometimes?
\n. \n Answer \n. \nYou have to lift the handle before you lock the door.
Answer . The actuator is a vacuum driven relay that locks the front hubs when the 4 wheel drive is engaged. Failure of this part would result in the transfer case being engaged and sending power through the front shaft but the front tires would not have torque. This is a failure prone form of au…to locking hubs. Used on late model Chevys Dodges and Some Cherokees. Alternatives would be a constantly locked hub set up, which consequently reduces fuel millage. Or, a manual lock system such as that used on Fords for decades. ( Full Answer )
Your front ac doesn't blow cold air on your ford windstar1999 you changed the blend door actuator what could it be?
Answer . I have the opposite problem with my 99 Windstar - front vents will not go to heat, which is real fun in winter. I replace the blend door actuator to no avail, and was told the actual blend door was broken, which would require a replacement of the "heater box", for the low low price of $…1200. I am currently looking for plan "B". ( Full Answer )
Why 1985 s-10 blazer front hubs locked actuator under hood disconnected not causing problem any ideas?
Best most thought on your question that comes to mind is the cable that engages the fork is froze or seized up from rust. After awhile this also causes the inner mechanical components to seize up too, you may just need to lower the trans unit and free all this up with alot of penetrent.
1995 ranger ac will not go into max would this be a vacuum actuator issue and is it easily replaced?
Probably so check ur vac lines behind your glove box and follow them through firewall they come out under your blower housing under hood. One of them is either broke or pulled loose. This has happened on both my Rangers, 96 and 97. If not I cant help you because that was as far as I had to go!
Where Can you get a vacuum diagram for a 1997 Jeep Wrangler your AC is only blowing through the defroster vents so you think you have a vacuum leak or a bad actuator?
One could possibly find diagrams for 1997 Jeep Wranglers at a Jeep Wrangler official site or through a manual company. Another good idea would be to just consult a mechanic.
Answer . It is on the top of the passenger axle tube, between the front differential and the passenger side frame rail.
Where is the air vent blend door actuator on a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo V6 I need to check vacuum hoses attached?
If you are looking for the mode door vacuum actuators they are located to the left of the heater. If you are looking the blend door actuator motor it is located behind the glove box. . You have to remove to glove box to get to the actuator. You can run a self diagnosis by holding the A/C and Reci…rculation buttons at the same time, then turn the left temp knob one turn clockwise. This wil give u codes to tell you whats up. Don't pay the high labor costs until you research the problem your self!! It ain't that hard to get to, but they charge a lot cuz it does take some time. . No vacum hoses for the blend door, it is operated by an electrical actuator motor. The most common cause of your symptoms is blend-door failure. This is a design flaw created by Chrysler engineers. Basically what happens is that every 20 times the vehicle is started, the A/C system software tells the blend doors to recalibrate to ensure that the airflow is as accurate as possible. The problem is that the stop point is made of cheap plastic. The stop point connected to the actuator breaks. Shortly thereafter, the blend doors break because they cannot withstand the pressure of the actuator pushing them beyont their limits after the stop point has been broken. Passenger side is typically affected first, followed by the driver side. If the doors fall with gravity into the down position, you will maintian A/C. If you hit a bump on the road and they fall into a mixed position, you will have neutral temperature. Either way, no heat is a symptom because that is the up position for Jeep Grand Cherokees (99-2004). . I have tried a product repair kit which will replace the plastic drive connector piece and the plastic blend doors with solid aircraft quality aluminum parts. Aluminum was chosen because it will be close to the weight of the original parts. The blend door shaft is a ½" solid piece of aluminum rod machined to fit. The two doors are aluminum sheet stock tig welded onto the door axle shaft with a foam covering applied to both sides of the door panels, all to make a one piece assembly. The second piece is the drive connector it is a ½" solid piece of aluminum rod with steel pins. The drive connector is machined to fit the actuator motor and to fit onto the end of blend door axle shaft assembly. ( Full Answer )
The front axle on the 90 GMC K2500 is actuated by a switch on the top of the transfer case. You will find it on the top, driver's side, with a 2-wire connector on it. Answer . When recharging the AC, use a jumper wire across the low pressure sensor. That will allow the AC compressor to turn on and draw in the refrigerant.. ................... Usually placing a jumper across the low pressure sensor is unnecessary (I have recharged quite a few fully-empty sys…tems, and each time the compressor will kick on after the first can or two of R134a). The danger in jumping the sensor is that you may be running your compressor completely dry. Double-check instead that the charge port is opening freely, and that your attempted re-charge is not using cheap plastic connectors. The Grand Prix seems to have a pretty stiff schrader valve in the charge port, especially if someone has used "a/c stop leak" in the past, and I've had much better luck with a better-quality metal-ended charge hose. Answer . found this on another website, it may help. . Replacing Power Lock Actuators . This post may be of interest to the 'occasional DIYfer' such as me. I have an 03 Odyssey and within a month or so I had two power locks 'go'. One on the front passenger door and one on the driverside slidi…ng door. This of course occurred after the warranty had expired... at first I just decided to just live with it but after a while of constantly walking around the car to lock/unlock the doors manually, I decided to fix them. I started with the front passenger door... took me the best part of an hour and a half to dismantle it. You first have to take the door panel off... in my case, I didn't use a door panel tool and had no problems... I just used a flat screwdriver and the panel's clips popped off easily without breaking. You need to disconnect and take out the speaker, window switch and power lock switch. You then have to take 1/2 the plastic shield off. Then you'll see your lock actuator right against the door underneath the door lock mechanism and behind the window railing. Rather hard to get to it. You need to remove the window railing and dismantle the lock mechanism from the door itself... you can't just remove the actuator as it is screwed to the lock mechanism and of course the screws are facing the wrong way. The door lock actuator was about 55$ cdn. Reinstalling everything went quicker (about an hour).... have to be careful when reinstalling that you pay attention to how you reconnect the cables... make sure you don't leave them in path of the window railing... The following day I tackled the sliding door power lock. Much easier job. No switches on door panel... comes right off... didn't use a door panel tool either. The actuator is also screwed to the lock mechanism and you also have to take the full lock mechanism out... however, unlike the front door, you have easy access to the lock mechanism and it's only held in place by 3 screws. The lock actuator is around 65$ cdn with taxes... make sure you specify what Odyssey model you have as the base and higher models have different lock actuators. In terms of how long, I'd say it took me 30 minutes to dismantle everything and 20 minutes to put everything back together... much much easier then front door. BTW, the folks at the Honda parts counter told me these actuators have a tendency to break easily... Now I'm just hoping my other door actuators won't break... especially the front door.. How do you remove and replace the electric door lock actuator-selenoid for the front passenger's side door on a 1995 Ford Explorer XLT?
Answer . I am Pretty sure that if you look on the door in the down below the latch, there is a rivet... You have to drill the rivet off and that will free it. Then you have to unplug the connector at the bottom off it. Then take it out replace it and then re-rivet it to the door. This is explain…ed after door panel is off, and vapor barrier is peeled back. It takes a "big daddy" rivet gun to put that big rivet in. ( Full Answer )
Answer . The entire actuator unit, with the wire running into it, is threaded into a housing on the axle tube. It has a large hex end (about 1.25") and standard RH threads, and can be removed with a large adjustable wrench, or a socket if you are going to toss it and want to cut the wire. There i…s a gasket inside, so e careful when pulling it out; also the mechanism inside is lubricated with gear oil from the differential, so in case you lose some, you should be prepared to top off the diff oil. If the original thermal linear actuator failed on you, you may want to replace it with a mechanical one like the cable operated posi-lok(T): ( Full Answer )
Why does your 97 Lincoln mark viii have no heat even after changing the blend door motor and the heater core is free flowing and all other vacuum actuators are working properly?
Your not going to like this, some blend door motors were not assembled correctly the worm gear in the housing is jammed and won't let the motor turn, all you can do is replace it again.
Remove the door panel, remove the lower side of the window channel, remove door lock mechanism. remove the black plastic cover help by 2 screws, then remove the black plastic door lock unit, with the connector on it, and replace. You can pry the unit open and replace the electric motor in it.
The vacuum actuator is either in the fender or under the battery. The actually diff actuator is on the back/bottom of the front diff. Mine (2000 blazer) is under the battery. It sucks to get to. If you check the actuator and it doesn't move at all, check the vacuum, if it's not getting vacuum, chec…k the switch on the top driver's side of the transfer case. It sends vacuum to the actuator. It has three vacuum hoses coming off of it. It costs fifteen dollars at autozone and usually greatly improves the performance of the acuator. ( Full Answer )

The most common actuator is a hydraulic actuator or an electro-servo actuator. These are linear actuators that move a piston rod to a set stroke and force. It is used to push and pull at a fixed length(stroke) and force. Used in conjuction with rods and cranks, the actuator can be used to move c…ontrols through variable geometry such as arcs.\n. \nThe Hydraulic Actuator has a piston internal to the housing. The hydraulic pressure is ported on one end and forces the piston to move to the opposite end, which pushes the rod to extend it. Reversing the hydraulic pressure(or applying it at the other side of the piston) will cause the rod to stroke back to original position. The force that is available is equal to the hydraulic pressure times the area of the piston. ( Full Answer )
Where is the vacuum cut valve bypass valve on a 1999 Nissan Altima where can you find a diagram for this part?
This part is located behind the driver's rear wheel, just above and to the right of the evaporator canister if you email me at firstname.lastname@example.org and I will send you drawings and photo of the part.
I believe that goes to the module. It's a little canister looking thing. Has a male vacuum nozzle coming out of it.. But if that's off "your car won't be shifting right at all.". I believe 1995 has electronic tranny. If there's no tranny modulator than I believe the hose goes to the elctronic part… of the tranny.. This area of the tranny will have a large wire harness(s) coming out of it. Sometimes the area for the hose connection is recessed and hard to find.. CIV ( Full Answer )

Where is the location of the blend door actuator on a 03 ford expedition heat only in rear no ac but only blows ac in the front?
Blend Door Problem . Your problem sounds like the common blend door problem on the Ford Expeditions, and Ford Explorer. The door is on a vertical axis and when it breaks, it can swing back and forth randomly giving heat or AC or nothing. The difference on acceleration is the force placed on the… door swinging it one direction. You can check the operation by fully opening the glove box, removing the actuator motor on top of the plenum box and examining the blend door axle. Pictures of the common fail signature are available on the heatertreater.net web site. There are several "free" fixes that mostly are worth what you pay for them. The solution on the web site is solid and proven over hundreds of vehicles and will resolve the problem once and for all. ( Full Answer )

Bypass is the surgical procedure used to create an alternative passage to divert flow of blood.
Behind the drivers side rear wheel. It has a black vented black cover over it. It is white plastic and costs about $125.00 at Nissan.
under the battery, those are crappy if you want more info on how to go to S10forum.com,in the 4x4 section they have a manual switch that's better.
Yes you can and you can either just buy aluminum end plugs or buy a new compressor manifold hose set for a 2003 Chevy Tahoe without rear a/c.........
Take out the battery and the battery tray. Its underneath the two on my jimmy.
It is under the battery rack. Remove the battery and there are three bolts in the engine bay and one in the fender well.
Front axle on the top. You will see a wire harness coming from it. It leads to a Transfer case switch that could be confused with this as it looks alike. The Switch is located on the side of the Front Transfer case about a foot away from the Actuator yo want to switch out. You can check it by unscre…wing it and put the ignition in on but do not start the truck. Next, shift into 4 x 4 and have someone observe the actuator to see if it is moving 1 inch. Make sure truck is not started when someone is underneath and it is blocked so it will not move. If it doesnt move, replace it. Check to see if the switch is working also. You can also put it in 4 x 4 not starting it and try to see if you can turn the front axle. This is a good test to see if the gears are ok. If you cannot turn it that means it is ok and not broke. Good luck. ( Full Answer )
you can remove your filter take the inlet side loose make sure you plug the hole or if you have plunger valves shut off the inlet side remove hose then when you vacuum the dirty water runs out the inlet hose on the ground. or you can attach some backwash hose to the inlet hose you took off and have …the water flow further away from the pool. when finished replace inlet hose to pool open valve remove vacuum plate from skimmer make sure you have water running in the pool while vacuuming.replace cartridge make sure water level is up turn on pump. I personally do-not use a vacuum plate i remove my skimmer hose from inside pool and attach vacuum hose and vacuum that way. because then i dont run out of water while vacuuming. i only do this when i am vacuuming out algae. do-not do this if you have large pieces of trash because it will clog up filter hose . Is the blend door actuator on your 2000 venture the reason you are getting no airflow out of the front AC even when it is on high speed?
No. http://wiki.answers.com/Q/FAQ/3330he blend door only controls the temperature of the air. the airflow depends on the blower motor. So if there is no airflow then you need to find out why your blower motor isn't working.
Acutator is a small vacuum powered motor used to open and close diverter to direct air either to defrost, floor, or vents

I'm quite confident something could be invented/improvised to take the place of the actuator motor, but... By the time you put that much effort into it, and that much time scrunched up underneath the dashboard, you really could much more EASILY replace the broken motor. Check with you local ca…r salvage / junk yards and I expect you'll find a ready supply of used ones for $5. Even a new one is $30 or so. See "Related Questions" below for more on how to replace the actuator - it should give you an idea on where it is and jump-start the process of bypassing it, or fixing the broken one. ( Full Answer )
