If you find a newborn mouse or more you need to get a tall box and poke holes in it first. Then you can get a medicine tube with a squeeze handle and get baby formula and warm milk. If it doesn't eat try again later. If it eats later and you take care of it for a while you need to clean the box every day. If it doesn't eat or anything call a vet and they will try to help. P . S If you don't see the mouse in the box and the box has inside flaps check under the flaps!

Hello, If the baby mouse has hair and it's eyes are open you can feed it by using a medicine dropper. You can go to the store and buy similac infant formula (already liquid type for human babies). Follow the directions on the can and store it in a plastic or glass covered container in the rifridgerator. Every time the baby wakes up it will want food. Gently hold it in your hands and watch out for its little tail and whiskers too. It will squek when it wants food. Pull the milk into the medicine dropper. It is not ready yet. You must first get it warm by running it under hot water. Now do not just give it to the baby without testing the temperature on the inside of you wrist to make sure it doesn't feel too hot or too cold just like you would for a human baby. Once it is lukewarm, patiently hold the dropper and gently squeeze a drop of milk in front of the baby head and eyes so he can see and smell it. Be patient as it may take a while for him to try it. If you want to try to get the baby to eat solid food. You can get Gerber Banana 1 for a human baby's first food. Pull it up into the dropper and warm it again and test it again and dangle it and wait for him/her to eat it. Be patient. The baby will usually only eat about five-six drops of banana every hour. Also you can give gerber 1 apple juice warmed up and water. Remember to keep the baby warm but not too warm. I used thermacare heat wraps for (menstrual cramp relief) and it simulated the warmth of a mother and other baby mice. However, if the baby chews on these it is toxic and can kill it. So watch carefully. Also, wrap these in a washcloth to decrease the amount of heat put onto the baby. Plus keep in mind that too much heat will make the baby dehydrated.

== == www.afrma.org/rminfo8.htm Article about taking care of orphan mice. A few days ago we got an orphan mouse. We feed the mouse every 2 hours with cow's milk and we warmed it with deluded water and fed it with a medicine dropper. That was our last resort because every pet store was closed. We finally got to a pet store that opened and got kitten formula. We drop the milk on our hands and the mouse licks it up. The mouse has no fur yet and it's eyes are shut. It's very spunky, and it loves snuggling into my hands. When we are not holding her in our hands, we put her in a shoe box with socks and toilet paper. We also have a light over her, but we leave a shady spot...just incase she gets too warm. Hope this helped!!!

There isn't much you can do for a newborn mouse! Just let the mother do her job (she knows best). Make sure there is plenty of food and water (for the mother) and some soft, warm bedding. Make sure not to disturb the mother and babies too much, this may make the mother anxious. make sure you dont touch they baby(s) for a few days after being born or they mother may disown them and not look after them they should start eating at around 2-3 weeks

Keep it in a warm area. With some bedding. If it doesn't have any hair, they are very hard to keep alive. You can feed them some kitten milk from the local pet store. They need to be fed a drop or two out of a eye dropper every 2 hours. They need a heating pad set on low. You need to put them in something that they can't craw out of. You will be suprised. They can craw out of small buckets. Do not get any milk in their nose or they will die. That is what happened to my baby hamster. If they get fur and their eyes open. You can then keep them in a fish tank with bedding and a water bottle with some bird seed. If they are that old you should keep them for a week longer and then let them go. If there is a male and a female the mice will multiply fast. Mine had 3 litters in a week. They have up to 7 mice per litter. And it is very very hard to tell if they are males or females. GOOD LUCK!!!!!

If it has a mother then she will do all the work, but if it is an orphan, a newborn mouses first danger is the cold. Mice are born naked and need to be kept warm. But the mouse in a warm container with soft materiel such as cotton wool or bedding on the inside. Have a heat pad or lamp keeping it warm. Feed the baby kitten milk replacement formula about every hour with an eyedropper. As it grows older and begins to grow fur (ten days) you can start offering it solids, try some soft bread, perhaps try soaking it in the milk formula. The mouse will be weaned at three weeks, and will be independent. If you want to keep it, buy a cage, toys, food, a water bottle, and bedding. You may also need to buy your mouse a buddy, when you can tell the mouse's gender, try and get a mouse of the same age and gender. Mice are social creatures and may because very sad if they don't have a buddy. Also give the mice different nest making material. Mice adore making their sleeping nest bigger, better and more comfy, so put shredded paper and paper towel, fabric and other such things. Good luck with your mouse!

hi every1 i would just like to correct some of the things said above (wasn't me). 1st of all you should never wean baby mice earlier than 4 weeks old to the exact day of birth. females can't get pregnant until theyre 4 weeks old so at 4 weeks old wean the males (which another thing are really easy to sex) keep the baby girls in with the mothers (if u have their mum) because although they can be weaned at 4 weeks old it is better for females to stay in with the mother untill they are 5 to 6 weeks old. always give the mumy mouse a minimum of 4 weeks break from breeding AFTER she has weaned her pups as it can kill mumy mice, shorten their lifespan and their babies or can cause a real weak mummy and babys. always cull down males aka put them in a container in the freezer its a sad thing but they fall asleep before they die (don't feel a thing). culling the males down will increase the chances of the others surviving, gives them more milk which helps them be healthier plus males are harder to sell better to do it in a way where they can't feel any pain than not being able to rehome them and have them and the other males rip each other to shreds which they will do. also the only way for mice to have 3 or more litters in a week is if there is 3 or more females pregnant at the same time. please for any other information on mice just email me on samieblackberri@hotmail.co.nz i am a mice breeder and also have experience with rats

-Don't touch it.

-Let the mother feed it - give the mother extra food, but don't try to hold her.

-Protect the cage - keep it in a quiet area away from harm.

That's pretty much it. They care for themselves, and their mother does an excellent job. She may eat any weak or deformed ones, though.

Rat poison! lol okay I'm totally kidding, not exactly your best solution if you don't want to harm the poor creatures.. but if you don't care then go for it..

call a vet, or a animal shelter and they'll tell u exactly how to take care of the problem

my best suggestion is to put them in a box, (not cardboard because theirs a good chance they could chew themselves through it) but more like a plastic box or metal which ever one is more hand, of course a box where they could all fit; take a nice drive to the mountains and set the little guys free, but not close to a home or a business or anything, cuz they'll run off into the building.

I learned that you need to feed it kitten milk as regularly as every hour. It also needs to be kept warm, so put its house or cage half on, half off of a heating pad.

You should never touch wild baby mice that you are taking care of. You can feed them with an eye dropper of formula and keep them warm in a blanket in a box.

Depends...how old is it?

If it's eyes are still closed then get some kitty formula and feed it every two hours.
