Depends on the year/make model. I know Ford 1990 or so and later you need to relieve the fuel line pressure by removing the fuel pump fuse or relay. You then need an inexpensive scissor looking tool that allows you to release the spring clips on the fuel line holding the filter in place. A little fuel will spill so don't work directly under it. Use safety goggles to keep fuel out of your eyes. Good Luck!

I own a 2001 Volvo v40 and the interior cabin filter is on the passenger side under the dash. Where the passengers feet would be. There was one cover I had to unscrew & remove and then the filter was exposed. Good Luck!

To change the transmission filter you have to drop the pan. The filter is located under the pan. When purchasing a filter they usually come with a new pan gasket.
I believe about 6 quarts if you replace the filter at the same time. Without doing the filter probably around 5 quarts.
