You have to remove the gas tank....after that's done, remove the send unit from the top of the tank ans pull it straight out. The pump is on the bottom of that.Try to empty your tank first. It is a lot easier and safer.

Your Alero does not have one: they are usually found only on Ford cars.
GM vehicles do not use inertia/reset buttons
The Alero is made by Oldsmobile not Chrysler. My first suspicion would be a failed fuel pump or clogged fuel filter.
There isn't one. Ford is mainly the only ones who have a reset switch.
