Changing a starter is pretty much the same no matter what kind of car you have. Step 1: find it. This is first because some automakers have a REALLY creative knack for putting the starters in places you don't realize exist. Try changing one in a Corolla sometime and you'll see what I mean. Step 2: unhook the battery--I always unhook both cables, which gives me an excuse to clean and regrease the posts. Step 3: unhook the two wires--usually a fat one running to the power in on the solenoid and a thin one to kick the bendix over. Remove the two bolts holding the starter in, and extract the old starter. Step 4: installation is the reverse of removal. Step 5: reconnect the battery and go for a ride--to the auto parts store so you can get your core charge back on the old starter.
