well first you make sure your car is off. then u take the wires of and undo the bolts then replace it with a new one and the work backwards.
The starter and solenoid are mounted together on the bottom front side of the engine
Jack and safely support right front side of car disconnect battery remove 2 bolts that support starter remove wires from starter solenoid slide starter out of housing reverse to install

Simple answer is no. They use a completely different engine harness. It can be done, but you have to change all the wiring under the hood. The 3300 engine is probly the better engine, but the 3100 engine is a good motor, but are prone to more problems.
