pop trunk and locate Phillips head screws right above brake light assembly these screws hold the whole assembly in place.All you got to do is unscrew all Phillips head screws, then the whole brake light assembly folds down, you might have to pry on it a little with a flat tip, then you should be able to get to the tail light from there. Just untwist old bulb then twist new one in.
No.... You need to change the whole back tail piece

Open up the trunk lid, find the Phillips screws above the tail lights and the whole tail light bucket will pull out as one piece. Light sockets are behind.
The sensor on the 1994 Chevy Caprice is located on the transmission. it is mounted on the tail shaft of the transmission.
open the trunk and take out the screws
you need to remove the taillight assembly. you will see all the bulbs.
Unscrew the bulb by turning it coumterclockwise and it will come out of the assembly.
Look in trunk ther should be twist off screws.
To change a tail light on a 1988 Celebrity: Open the trunk. Look on the back of the side light you want to change. There will be several 10 mm nuts. Remove the nut in the center of the tail light lens. It is usually silver. The lens will then pull out a bit, then there is a tab into the backup light, pull the lens out of that. You can then remove the light socket and replace the bulb.

In the trunk next to the quarter panel there are nuts that hold the rear header on, the center nut holds the tail light assembly on. It will be in the center of the tail light assembly near the outer edge. Take the nut off and pull the tail light assembly out until the stud clears the body. 2. Pull the tail light assembly to the side to disengage the tabs from the backup light panel. 3. Twist the appropriate socket to remove it from the tail light assembly, then unplug the lamp and replace it. Reverse the steps to reinstall the tail light assembly.
