To change the front fuel injector you will need to disconnect the battery because your computer will get messed up if you don't. then get the injector and a manifold gasket from a Toyota dealer or an auto repair shop, then you disconnect all the tubing that is going into the maifold, after you are done you take and unbolt the manifold and move it out of your way. then there will be a rod looking thing and there will be a couple bolts going into that. take the bolts out then just pull on it. the rod will disconnect from the injector and then you just pull the front one out, then slip the new injector in the old ones spot. then slip the rod back on and tighten the bolts, this will tighten the injectors so they wont leek or move, (you don't need any sealent or glue). then when you assemble the manifold take the old gasket off ( might be a little hard to do) then put the new gasket on. after that put all the hoses back on. don't forget to plug your battery back in. then start your truck and check for any leaks (gas, air, anything comming from the hoses, etc.) if everything is running o.k then double check the bolts and make sure they are tight. this process should take about 2 to 3 hours depending on how fast you work. well hope this helped!

Where is the fuel injector on a 2000 Toyota Corolla
you must change/rebuild all four of the to insure even fuel spray out of the injectors. first remove the top half of the EfI system, once the top half is gone, remove the fuel line from injector rail, disconnect the plugs from injectors. remove injector rail and all four injectors as one. the reverse for installing the. be very careful with the new injectors when installing as they are fragile little thing. never reuse the rubber o rings on the injectors. they are usually the culprit of injector leaks or air getting in.
How do you change a fuel injector on a 1988 Toyota Camry
You do not have to change it all, unless they do not work. But it would be a good practice to add time to time injector cleaning fluid in gas.
How do change Fuel injectors on GS300 2000
To change the injectors on a 6.0 you must first 1. Remove the valve covers 2. Remove the high pressure oil rail. Be careful not to drop any bolts, not to break off the injector connectors, they break easily. 3. Remove the injector clips on the outside of the head, inboard towards the turbo. 4. unbolt the injector 5. Use an injector puller so that you dont damage the injector, or injector bore.
I only change a fuel injector if it fails. I own and operate 8 Chevy Celebrities and have only had 3 fuel injectors, all on the same car, fail. I do not know of a set change frequency such as there is with timing belts.
Usually not. Injectors give better gas mileage and often a smoother throttle response. Particularly for cold starts, injectors will outperform carbs. Switching from injector to carbs would only make sense for some race applications.
with the car running pull the injector harness off of each inj. if it changes the cars idle then you know that inj. is working - if it doesnt change than that inj is bad with the car running pull the injector harness off of each inj. if it changes the cars idle then you know that inj. is working - if it doesnt change than that inj is bad
Check the Mercury Villager manual to see if there is a special procedure for cleaning the fuel injector. If not, you can purchase cleaner. You can also have the injectors cleaned by a mechanic or an oil change company.
the problem is that injectors are forced into head . since head is aluminum and injector is steel after few years they become stucked together as they are one piece . you may expect that at least one injector will be broken during extraction . if you have spare/new injectors best way is to unscrew upper part of injector and chip the rest out with adequate tool . also if injectors are succesfuly removed there is problem with sealing new ones because during removal head will be almost certanly damaged . strongly recomending replacing whole head with injectors . used one in good condition is much cheaper than set of new injectors and head repair . This is absolute nonsense, make a injector puller sliding hammer type and loosen holding clamp and wiring then pull hard upwards and the injectors will come out.
There can be a variety of problems wrong. 1. Change the oil 2. Check your O2 Sensors 3. Try a fuel injector cleaner 4. Check your fuel injectors (a bad injector is causing me to get bad mileage) 5. Check/change your spark plugs
