How do you change the oil filter sending unit of a 1999 suburban?
I am guessing the yours is either dead or it is bouncing around. 1. It is located on the back side of the engine. Looking from the front it will be on the drivers side, with three wires hooked to a plug on the sending unit. 2. Once removed and ready to install the new one, coat the threads with a teflon pipe dope and screw in. You might have to remove the Distributor cap to get better access to the sending unit.
Refer to owners manual
To remove the oil pressure sending unit on a 2005 5.3L Avalanche, first, ensure the engine is cool and disconnect the negative battery cable. Locate the oil pressure sending unit on the engine block, typically near the oil filter. Use a wrench to carefully unscrew the sending unit, taking care not to damage any surrounding components. Once removed, you can install the new unit by reversing the process, ensuring a proper seal and torque specifications are followed.
