egr valve may be clogged or bent. where do i find the egr valve on my 93 Saturn sc2?
Its under your drivers seat
It is a 50 EGR Valve. You can use it for '93-'97 Dodge Dakota, Ram 1500, 2500, or Jeep.
If the Lincoln had a 302/5.0L then it is preety basic. The EGR is located center rear top of engine. It has two bolts and one exhaust port to unhook.
a 93 tercel which most likey has a the stock 3e-e engine doesnt have an egr system.
The EGR (exhaust gas return) valve is defective if you have eliminated the plug/wires, trottle valve etc.
I have a 93 4.0 and it has no EGR valve. My neighbor who is a ford mech. says some don't have EGR's and some have only one O2 sensor.
its the big bulky thing mounted to the throttle body. its black
93 Roadmaster.... that's a 5.7L engine, right? It should be attached to the intake with 2 bolts. Look for the thing that looks like a Chevy Smallblock EGR valve. Also, if you're replacing the valve because you have an EGR code make sure you don't have a clogged passage in the intake acting like a bad valve.
Many Ford Rangers of this decade did not have EGR valves. If the vehicle in question does have one, it will be located on the upper intake manifold.
Can't find my EGR valve eitherI have a 1993 Plymouth voyager 2.5L 4 cylinder. I have been looking for the EGR valve for some time. I took it to a dealership today and have come to the conclusion that there is no EGR valve on my van. The parts guy looked at my engine and said he couldn't find any EGR valve. I'm the original owner so I know it hasn't been removed. The diagrams show the EGR valve, but there is nothing at the location the diagrams show the EGR valve should be. My van just failed the NOX portion of the Texas emissions test, so I'm trying to figure out what to do. You can check at alldatadiy.com, but they charge a fee for their information. I don't know if there is anybody with Chrysler that I can contact to verify that some models were made without an EGR valve. Good Luck with yours.OK well i have a 93 voyager 3.3l and i don't honestly know if they are located in the same place or not but on mine the egr valve is located right on top of the engine to the back right of it. if u look the egr valve says it right on there i didn't know that at first either but when i found it out i kinda felt dumb cause its right on the side of the part.
EGR Valve4.2L, 4.6L, 5.4L and 6.8L Engines1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.2. Remove the vacuum hose from the EGR valve.3. On the 4.6L engine, remove the nut and brake booster bracket.4. On the 5.4L engine, remove the DPFE sensor retaining nuts and place the sensor to the side to allow access to the EGR tube.5. Disconnect the EGR valve-to-exhaust manifold tube from the EGR valve.6. Remove the EGR valve mounting bolts, then separate the valve from the intake manifold.7. Remove and discard the old EGR valve gasket, and clean the gasket mating surfaces on the valve and the intake manifold. To Install:8. Install the EGR valve, along with a new gasket, on the manifold, then install and tighten the mounting bolts.9. Connect the EGR valve-to-exhaust manifold tube to the valve, then tighten the tube nut to 25-35 lbs. (34-47 Nm).10. Connect the vacuum hose to the EGR valve.11. On the 5.7L engine, install the DPFE sensor.12. On the 4.6L engine install the brake booster bracket and the retaining nut.13. Connect the negative battery cable.
im not sure on a 1990 but on my 93 civic ex 1.6 vtec the PVC valve is on the intake right under the fuel rail
== == == == == == == == I have a 1991 and the Haynes manual only shows the removal/installation of the EGR valve on the Legend models. What I find odd though is that there is an EGR part for the 90 - 93 Integra and it's not cheap. The only thing that the manual says is that you should refer to your VECI label located under the hood to see if your vehicle has an EGR valve. All other illustrations are shown from a Legend.
The EGR valve on a 93 explorer is on the PASSANGER side of the motor just to the right of the oil fill stem coming off the engine. Youll notice the metal hose coming off the top of the valve. Theres 2 bolts, one on the left and one on the right holding it onto the intake manifold.
check the egr vavle or the purge valve
To change PVC valve on a 1993 Nissan 300zx, first remove the oil dip stick and remove the tension clip from the PVC valve hose. Then remove the hose and the old PVC valve. Replace with a new PVC valve.
26 is a quad driver (pcm) control for the egr valce and other things. 32 is egr valve. If you have 26&32 most likely the egr valve and/or solenoid need replacing. On a double overhead cam engine they are at the back of the engine valve is round with a vacuum line on the top follow the line 5 in to solenoid. On a single overhead cam it is under the breather box same shape but the solenoid is by the throttle body
Needs a tune up? Bad EGR valve maybe? Vacuume leak? Hard to say.
There is no EGR(Exhaust Gas Recirculation) valve on any 1992 Stock Ford Exsplorer's!!! The Exsplorer's only came out with the EGR/PFE System starting in 1993 and some 93's still did not get the system. PFE stands for (Pressure Feedback Exhaust) gas recirculation system. I only add the PFE added information because this system not only has a EGR valve body, but also a PFE electronic sensor which work together to regulate the engine. So if someone swapped the old 1992 engine and wiring harness with a 1993 or later 4.0l there will be a strong possibility that there is the EGR/PFE system setup. Although, if the engine has never been replaced then there is no chance at all that there would be an EGR valve or a PFE sensor.
Not directly, the 1993 had EGR and the 1997 did not.Not directly, the 1993 had EGR and the 1997 did not.
Yes , it's front wheel drive
Answer Its your EGR valve.Had the same thing constantly happen on my '93. Its your EGR valve that's sticking. Nissan uses a plunger type valve that's when sticks stalls the car. Find the valve (looks kind of like a spinning top) and while your car is running reach under and using your fingers move the plunger. This will stall your car. Replace the valve and drive happily ever after. This fix is definitely a DIY as it only takes a wrench and or ratchet..
I believe that a 92' ford ranger doesn't have a erg valve, they just started installing them in 93' models.please correct me if I'm wrong... According to Auto Zone and the owners manual it does. Auto Zone has one in stock for $76.00
