How do you change the PCM in a 1999 jeep grand Cherokee limited?

For starters, disconnect the battery, locate pcm not sure where on GC, most likely under the hood. There shuold be three connectors. squeeze the release tabs top and bottom and pull them out, they are keyed so they will only go back in the correct holes. Remove PCM from mount. IF screw holes are corroded clean them and put a little electrical grease on them to prevent future corrosion. Install PCM onto mount, reconnect wiring then battery Be sure ign. is off for the whole proceedure. Now here is the sucky part, I don't know if it will run too well, as the VIN and mileage Have to be programmed by the dealer (or garage?) Don't know for sure have never done before. But you can bet not everyone has access to VIN # and mileage data or there would be alot of low mileage cars around!
