How do you change the a starter on a 1996 Hyundai accent?

its VERY simple. all you need to have is a ratchet and a 10mm, 13mm, and 14mm socket. disconnect the negative battery terminal with the 10mm. then with your hand, remove the small wire on the back of the starter by pulling firmly on the plastic piece. then take the 13mm nut off the back of the starter under the rubber boot for the battery lead--the big wire. then use the 14mm to remove the two bolts going through the bellhousing that attach the starter. reverse to install.

its really simple. first one i did took 25 minutes from start to finish.

The fuel filter on a 1996 Hyundai accent is located towards the rear of the motor. It is against the firewall. Just look toward the back of the engine and down and you will see it there.It looks like a small canister.

the starter is under the intake manifold which has to be removed to get to the starter

It can be found at the back of the engine about half way down the block, you will need to jack the car up to get to it, if you need to change it out. hope this helps.

Crank Angle Sensor (location)i own a 98 Hyundai accent and the crankshaft position sensor is located just underneath the far right spark plug if your looking from the front of the car,about 5"-8". hope this helps.

it is located on the firewall behinde your fuel rail. it looks like a canister with a line and nut in the top
