There are 2 air filters under the black cover on the top of your engine. you can just gently pull up on the entire cover and slip slip it off. There are 4 hex screws on the bottom of the cover for each filter. Just unscrew them and replace the 2 filters you will need to push the cover down to make sure it fits nice and tight once you put it back on the engine. It's all presure fittings so don't be afraid to use some force in getting it off and putting it back on. It's about a 30 min job.
easy job when hood open u have black plastic flat pancake with MB logo etc on it lift up front plastic panel towards you and it seperates from rest of larger rear unity...strictly a decorative finish part then you remove black plastic air intake hoses from air cleaner (each side) by compressing corrugations towards front of car now lift front section of remaining pancake air intake unit, sharply upward and it will lift off engine...unit sits on four (4) rubber posts with pressure clips...very simple arrangement lay unit on pad on work bench upside down and remove TOR-X screws....which will free air filter housings wash sand and insects out of housing, let dry...and re-install two new air filters reverse procedure and re-install corrugated hoses et voila glenn goodfellow montreal qc ggoodfellow54@att.net
