changing a blower motor is pretty easy theres 2 types engine compartment and interior, the engine compartment one is the easyest, its on the fire wall its held in by 3 bolts just take out the bolts and unhook the wires and it should com out,be careful because theres a fan attached to it that's east to break, anyway then you remove the fan usually there just a pin of some sort holding it in, all depends on the car, then put the fan on the new one and put it back in the way you took it out if its interior its usually under the glove box, in my corolla if i was to do it properly i would have had to take the whole bottom of the dash off i don't know if there that hard in all like that or not, best of luck and paitence- Plutonian Shadow

You need to go to a car parts store, and get a repair manual for your car. They cost about $16.00 Or, go to a Public Library.

it's a little bit easy, you will have to watch below your dashboard, passenger side not driver side, just where the glove box is, you will have to watch one type of black cylinder holding there, right in the corner, then it has two wires , red and black, you'll have to disconnect 3 bolts and unplug the electrical connection who is a little bit upside where the motor is,then take the motor carefully, you go to autoparts store and buy new motor ONLY, once you have the old one on your hands, disconnect the clip located on the center of the filter , then pry with care (you can stick your screwdriver inside the filter with care to pull the filter off, be careful it's going to fly, mine do the same, then when you have a new motor, take the gasket out of your old one (it's your decision to buy one new gasket or discard it, i didn't buy it) place it carefully, it's easy, and then put the filter on your new motor, push it carefully, then re-attach the clip, if the model comes with "plug-style" electrical connection, just cut the wires and joint them and cover them with tape, be careful to not leave anything loose, (apparently i made it wrong and connect the electrical terminals to the plugs of the new motor, of course very poor and unsecure connection , then the car passed over a bump and disconnected itself from ground or electricity and the motor stopped and one fuse blew, for protection against electrical discharge, then i wiggled over the cables and motor worked for a seconds , then stopped, i realized my connection was bad , so be careful) ok then you will have to connect the cable to the electrical connector then put the bolts, secure the gasket, align the holes on your blower motor to place the bolts correctly, it's not as hard as it seems, then you'll have to try it out, good luck , if you need help my email is adgoitd@msn.com

Usually located at the passenger side firewall - some are accessible in the engine compartment -some behind the glove box area

Disconnect the wiring harness

Disconnect the air intake tube

Remove 3-5 mounting bolts

Motor should pull out

If located in engine compartment, it is necessary to cut the rubber cover along pre-marked slits to access the motor fan. Also, the cross beam will need to come off and maybe additional items located near the firewall if obstruction is occurring.

REMOVE GLOVE BOX LINER VIA 4 SET SCREWS. NEXT REMOVE THE COMPUTER BOX BY DETACHING THE ELECTRICAL HARNESS'. THERE ARE TWO TO UNPLUG. SLIDE THE COMPUTER BOX TO THE LEFT. IT IS HELD ON WITH CLIPS THAT HOLD ON TO A BRACKET THAT IS ATTACHED TO THE BLOWER HOUSING. REMOVE COMPUTER BOX AND SET ASIDE FOR REINSTALL. THERE ARE 4 SMALL BOLTS THAT THE COMPUTER BRACKET IS USED TO ATTACH TO THE BLOWER HOUSING. TWO ON TOP AND TWO THATARE ONE THE FACE OF THE BLOWER HOUSING. REMOVE THESE SCREWS AND REMOVE THE BRACKET. SET ASIDE FOR REINSTALL. NOW YOU CAN REMOVE THE BOOT THAT SET'S OVER THE BLOWER MOTOR. YOU NOW HAVE ACCESS TO ALL THE MOUNTING BOLTS FOR THE BLOWER. REMOVE AS NEEDED AND REMOVE THE BLOWER. REINSTALL IN REVERESE SEQUENCE. SIDE NOT THE BLOWER RESISTOR IS LOCATED ON TO OF THE BLOWER HOUSING IN BACK OF THE THREE RELAYS THAT YOU WILL SEE IN PLAIN SIGHT WHEN YOU REMOVE THE GLOVE BOX. GOOD LUCK WHOEVER READS THIS AS IT TOOK ME SOME TIMETO FIGURE IT ALL OUT. Jeff.

Thanks Jeff, Big help, one item that I found that I had to do is to remove 1/2 bolt that holds the dash in place (passenger side close to kick panel) as well as remove the kick plate so that you can pry out and up the dash to be able to get the blower motor out of the houseing. Very tight quarters. Ken
