There have been several instrux to this effect for 2000 Beetles, and it also works on 1999:

If your battery has run down, been disconnected, or replaced - your VW will reset itself to the default settings for the time and temperature. You will see the time displayed as military time where 6 PM will show as 18:00. You can set the clock to standard time (with the ignition OFF) by pressing both the H and M buttons. If you now turn the ignition switch to ON, you can press both the H and M button and the temperature will now display as Fahrenheit rather than celsius.

Update: this was just tested on a 1999 Beetle and it works.

Q: How do you change the clock and thermometer in a 1999 VW Beetle from 24 hour to 12 hour and from celsius to degrees?

Write your answer...

28

20 degrees Celsius is 68 degrees Fahrenheit. 45 degrees Celsius is 113 degrees Fahrenheit. So 25 degrees change Celsius = 25 x 1.8 = 45 degrees Fahrenheit. 1 degree change in Celsius is equivalent to 1.8 degrees change in Fahrenheit. Scroll down to related links and look at "Conversion of Temperature Units".

59 degrees Fahrenheit is 15 degrees Celsius.

59 degrees Fahrenheit = 15 degrees Celsius

39 degrees Celsius = 102.2 degrees Fahrenheit.

46 degrees Fahrenheit = 7.78 degrees Celsius

Celsius degees = Kelvin degrees - 273,15

The change is 7 Celsius degrees (NOT degrees Celsius).

My thermometer is a safety 1st, and to change the celsius to Fahrenheit you press down both buttons (power and mode) at the same time and it will switch.

59 degrees Fahrenheit = 15 degrees Celsius

1 degree Celsius = 33.8 degrees Fahrenheit 2 degrees Celsius = 35.6 degrees Fahrenheit 35.6 - 33.8 = 1.8

15

Add 273.15 to Celsius to get Kelvin.

Steam. Water boils at 100 degrees Celsius.

No, the "degrees" have the same name but are different sizes. (Celsius degrees are larger intervals than Fahrenheit degrees.) A change of 1 degree Celsius is the same as a change of 1.8 degrees Fahrenheit.

Both scales use "degrees" but they are not the same size.Celsius degrees are larger intervals, so a change in "Celsius degrees" is larger than an identical numerical change in "Fahrenheit degrees."A change of 1 Celsius "degree" is the same change as 1.8 Fahrenheit "degrees", as is seen in the difference between the freezing and boiling point of water. 100 Celsius degrees (0° to 100°C) is the same temperature change as 180 Fahrenheit degrees (32° to 212°F).

1 degree Celsius equals a change of 9/5 = 1.8 degrees Fahrenheit and 1 degree Fahrenheit equals a change of 5/9 = 0.555555555 degrees Celsius.

Hope this helps. On 1999 model beetle, with key on push and hold in hour and minute buttons at same time this will change your temp from Celsius to Fahrenheit.

Since --7 deg = +7 deg, the change is 1 Celsius degree.

1 degree Celsius

12 - (-5) = 17 deg

Celsius degrees are larger.

100 degrees celsius

it depends on the substance. water freezes at zero degrees Celsius, 32 degrees Fahrenheit.

Use this formula to convert degrees Fahrenheit (F) to degrees Celsius (C): [°C] = ([°F] − 32) × 5⁄9
