I just replaced the rear brake cylinders on my 79 3/4 Chevy van. Get a couple cans of brake cleaner. Block the front tires. put it in neutral. Don't set the parking brake, don't touch the brakes while you are doing this. jack it up and take off the wheel, and turn the rotor cover to line the hole up with a little gear-wheel. Turn this gear-wheel (the rear brake adjuster) till the cover can be slid off. If it wont come off use a block of wood and a hammer to beat it off. Spray all the asbestos dust off the brakes and look at the springs and pieces. If they look weak, you'll need a spring-kit to replace them. To replace the brake pads, carefully pull all the springs off and remember how they go. Put the new pads on, replace the rotor cover, and tighten the rear-brake adjuster. Do the same thing on the other side, and drive in reverse and fully stop a few times to get the brakes completely adjusted.
Just Drive It
u first shabbily ding dong yes that is u change it
Until it runs out.
How do you change brakes on 2003 Silverado Pick Up?
Yes it will, As long as both trucks are either a 1/2 ton or a 3/4 ton, 4-wheel drive are just a 2-wheel drive.
You will have to get a 4L60E 2-wheel drive transmission and put in it. You will also have to get a driveshaft made for it too. You will also have to remove the front driveshaft.
It has 210 H.P.
Which ever axle the brakes have worn out.
He has a 2012 Ford F-250Also has a Chevy Suburban and a Tahoe.
hi my 2008 chevy suburban transfer case is blown and automaticly went from auto to low 4wheel drive any one know how to get it two 2 wheel drive the switch does nothing
chevy suburban is mounted on a truck frame so most rear ends from any truck or tahoe which is also a truck will work if it is a late model 6 lug.
Left rear of the transmission on 2 wheel drive trucks.
