I just changed the ignition switch on my 96 Ranger. After removing the steering wheel housing with a Philips driver (3 screws), turn the key to the on position, locate the pin hole (on the bottom) and use a paper clip to press the small release button, and the unit should slide out. After I replaced mine, I can now start the engine but not cut it off and the radio and accessories stay on draining the battery. Any other suggestions.
