yes, you get 4 to choose from.
1. go to profiles.
2. go to your usual profile and select edit
3. go down to message alert tone, and select.
4. select the one you want
The message alert tone can be changed easily by going to the settings and then go to sound then you will scroll down to notification ringtone, then click on each one to hear it, then confirm your answer by selecting your ringtone and simply pressing ok.
To change your text message alert, you go to your messages and press the button to the left of the big main button on the bottom of the phone. This will then bring up 4 boxes, press settings then scroll down to the bottom of the page to find notification settings. At the bottom press the select ringtone and you will be able to pick one and then press ok.
settings>phone profile>normal. Incoming call will be showing. toggle to new message by pushing switch to right of OK. now just select what you want and change your options
You go to Settings, then click Display Settings, then click Greeting message then you can change it but you can only type in 32 letters.

Main menu go to settings, then Audio & Ringtones, then message alert tones:)
Sadly no, you can only use the default sounds on the phone. Only the U600 can have an MP3 alert.
Select message then press menu an select settings then change notification tone
Firstly, you go to the settings on the Menu, click on the second line and press 'sound profile'. Then, choose whichever setting you have it on (normal, silent etc.) On the top drop down box choose 'message'. From there you can choose your message alert tone in the second box. From there you can choose your tones if you want to change the sound.
I have tried looking it up and played around with the setting of this phone for forever, and still nothing about changing the message alert. You can change it as far as vibrate, mute, or sound, but you cannot assign an MP3 to do the job unfortunately. I'm pretty mad about it too, I thought that was just a simple feature, and this phone doesn't even have it...wierd. Anyhow if anyone figures out how to do it, please post it!!
It depends on your phone's model. I have the Samsung Zeal. To do it, go to the following: Media Center>Music and Tones> My Ringtones> select the tone> Save As> Alert Tones> TXT Message.
You go to the menu, then you select settings, sound profile, select normal (if its not on normal already then you have to select normal then select again) then you be under the call settings. In the top right corner it says call, select that then three options will appear. Select Message. Then you select message alert tone, and then you choose from there.
