Please refer to the Safety Precautions on page 103 (of your user manual)
Engine oil quality is the chief factor affecting engine service life. Change the oil as specified in the maintenance schedule on page 106 (of your user manual).

Change the engine oil with the engine oil at normal operating temperature and the motorcycle on it's center stand (level) to ensure complete and rapid draining.

Please dispose of used engine oil in a manner that is compatible with the environment. We suggest you take it in a sealed container to your local service station for reclamation. Do not throw it in the trash or pour it on the ground.

Changing the oil filter requires a special oil filter tool and torque wrench. If you do not have these tools and the necessary skill, we recommend that you have your authorized Honda dealer perform this service. If a torque wrench is not used for this installation, see your authorized Honda dealer as soon as possible for proper assembly. To drail the oil:
(1) Remove the right rear side cover and the right side cover (Page 34 of your user manual), the oil filter cap and drain bolt. (2) Remove the under cover and oil filter with a filter wrench. Please discard the old oil filter. (3) Apply a thin coat of engine oil to the rubber seal of the new oil filter. Use only the Honda genuine oil filter or a filter of equivalent quality specified for your model. Using the wrong Honda filter or a non-Honda filter which is the the equivalent quality may cause engine damage. (4) Using a soecial tool and torque wrench, install the new oil filter and tighten it to the specified torque: 10 Nm (1.0 kg-m, 7 ft-lb). (5) Check that the sealing washer on the drain plug is in good condition. Install the drain plug and tighten it to the specified torque: 40 Nm (4.0 kg-m, 29 ft-lb) (6) Fill the crankcase with approximatrely 3.7 liters (3.9 US qt) of the recommended oil (see below). (7) Install oil filter cap.
(8) Start the engine and let it idle for a few minutes.
(9) Stop the engine. Make sure that the oil level is at the upper level mark on the dipstick (page 34 of your user manual) and that there are no leaks. (Note: When running in very dusty conditions, oil changes should be performed more frequently than specified in the maintenance schedule) RECOMMENDED OIL: 38 - 120 degrees = SAE 20W - 50
38 - 110 degrees = SAE 20W - 40
10 - 110 degrees = SAE 10W - 40 <-- Normal Operating Conditions
10 - 90 degrees = SAE 10W - 30

Where does the transmission fluid go on a 1976 Honda goldwing 750?

First, Honda did not mak a "750" Goldwing. In 1976 the Goldwing was a 1000 cc machine known as the GL1000. As for transmission fluid, the 1976 GL1000 does not use transmission fluid. It has a wet clutch, and the engine oil provides all the lubrication that the clutch and transmission requires. For this reason it is extremely important to use the correct engine oil and change it at regular intervals. For detailed information check out
