I belive you can find it on the exhaust pipe coming of the engine. It will have a wire going to it. Remove the wire lead and using a wrench, loosen the sensor a remove.This sensor just screws into the exhust pipe, no big deal. Good luck.

Use a 02 socket. The 2 sensor are located in front and behind the cat.
I had that same exact problem with a 1995 Jeep Cherokee, and it was indeed a bad oxygen sensor. Relatively cheap repair too.
There is no afs on a cherokee, they run on a map sensor.
In a 1998 Jeep Wrangler, the oxygen sensor is located in the exhaust pipe. It can be found just below the junction of the exhaust manifold and the exhaust pipe.

OEM stands for original equipment manufacturer. The Oxygen sensor senses amounts of oxygen in the exuast to adjust the fuel mixture acordingly.
