set as a desktop
It's on your desktop.
For a Mac computer you can get Deskshade online by just putting it in on google and it will enable you to be able to change your desktop. In XP, you should be able to navigate to the picture and select "Set as desktop background" from the file menu.
you pick a picture then right click on it and choose set as desktop background.
It's easy!Find the Google image you want.Use either the two-finger-click or the Control+Click method on the picture and the last option should be "use image as desktop picture".Click "use image as desktop picture" and it will automatically be the wallpaper. If you want to change it to stretch or any of the other options, just two-finger-click the desktop and then click "change desktop background".
If you have the same laptop I have, it came with Windows 7 STARTER (this is important!) If you have Starter, you can't change the background. Ever. This seriously annoys me, but there is no way to change it. If you have xp or Windows 7 (NOT STARTER) usually there is the Control Panel, and then Appearance and Themes. Then select Desktop and change the picture. (If this is what you have!)
when you go browse change the file types change to all picture files and then open the gif
Right click the picture, copy it to your desktop, then when you go to change your profile pic, browse to your desktop, choose the pic, it uploads and voila!
1) Open the control panel 2) select Personalization 3) select Desktop Background 4) select Browse 5) select the picture you want to change to 6) press "OK"
