∙ 15y agoRemove the window regulator and motor from the door as an assembly. Drill out rivets that hold motor to regulator and replace motor. Regulator needs to be riveted back into door for reassembly

I have a 1990 Pontiac Transport SE, I have the changed the motor on the driver's window which is power...take off the door panel and you will see the motor...not too difficult of a job...follow the old motor route...
There are a couple of different reasons as to why there would be power window failure in a 1998 Pontiac Grand Prix. One reason could be a faulty fuse or it could also be a short in the window motor.
