this is actually pretty tricky. you probably found the two ovel shaped bolts inside the shift boot right? what i did was clamp vise grips on those so they can not move, now you go underneath the car and undo the nuts on those. once you have done this there is a 12mm bolt holding the shifter to the linkage. reverse process for reinstall, i recommend actual bolts instead of the two ovel crap ones, it makes it easier to tighten them later.
