How do you change the starter on a 1988 Honda Civic LX?

1.Remove the negative cable from the battery. Working from underneath the car: 2. Label & disconnect the wires from the starter solenoid. 3.Remove the mounting bolts. You're done. Just install in reverse order. Working space is a little tight and installation seems to go a lot faster than removal.

no totally different engine, and engine bay lay out. Smaller engine (civic) cant cool a bigger engine (accord)

The center console on a 1988 Honda Civic is mounted using several screws. Locate and remove all the mounting hardware to pull the center console off. After the screws are off gently pull the center console out.

Yes they will bolt up but you will need to get a second bung added to the exhaust since 1984-1995 headers only have one bung and 1996-2000 have 2 bungs for the secondary o2 sensor.
