Located just underneat middle of intake maifold, about
mid rear engine area. Difficult, not impossible to get to.
1: Remove battery and battery tray, 4 bolts 6-10 ft-lbs
(may need to cut some ty-wraps
2: Disconnect speedometer cable.
(located down and slightly in
from bottom battery tray bolts, a a SMALL pipe wrench for
this twist off connector works good, or by strong hands)
3: ON 1.8L models, remove 2 bolts and small maifold bracket
4: Disconnect electrical connections. 1 plub, 1 nut to gnd
5: Remove (2) starter anchor bolts , 20-25 ft-lbs, then starter.
Reverse to replace. AS you go, removing some hoses and
connnectors might make it easier, not absolutuely necessary.
Diagrams from ALLDATA and Chystler sites available.
Getting an Amazon used Laser reapir manual cheap not a bad idea,
Neither really necessary.
Plymouth Laser was created in 1990.
Is It a turbo car or not?
You need a timing light
Could be an auto or a manual.
Fuel tank capacity: 15.9 gal.
The 1990 Plymouth EGR valve is located on the outside of the air cleaner housing. The EGR valve can be found on the back side of the housing.
The best place to find the diagram for the fuse box on a 1990 Plymouth Laser would be at the local Chrysler dealer. They carry archived manuals and diagrams going back many years.
If your 1990 Grand Plymouth Voyager cuts out and dies for not reason, but starts after a couple times of cranking, the starter might be going out. You can have the starter tested.
Closest to the passenger side
fuel pressure regulator is on the right end of the rail.
Plymouth does not use inertia/reset switches. The fuel system is computer controlled with relays.
I would think that is logical.
under driver side dash, to the left of the stearing wheel, 3 relays middle one. behind panel under wheel , not at the fuse box look up
The starter is located under the battery box.
your best bet would be to pick up a hynes manual for the 90-94 eclipse talon and laser autozone sells them for about 20 bucks
orange is cold, green is colder
Try a Dodge dealer, Mitsubishi dealer, Ebay, local salvage yard, etc.
Yeah that is most likely the problem. When you change the starter, have someone rotate the dampner pully with a socket/ratchet and look carefully at the flywheel for any teeth missing. If teeth are broken off you will chew up more starters and cause more damage to the flywheel. Also make sure all the pieces of the broken starter are out of the space it occupies and there are no peces sitting in the bell housing. If they were to bounce up while in motion it could cause damage.
if your talkin about the ecu(engine control unit) any 1990 dsm (talon, eclipse or laser) non turbo ecu will fit the 1991-94will fit after mods to the 6 pin an 14 pin an coil pack wire switched
