The air bag electronics are very sensitive. If you're asking this question you probably don't have the skills to be messing with the steering wheel assembly. If you mess with it the air bag can deploy causing YOU serious injury and the expense of replacing the air bag.
Just take it to a professional, let them be responsible.

no id doesn't require a special trick just remove the 3 bolts that hold the power steering pump and it will give u acess to the water pump placing it on is the hard part

I have experienced this problem before. There is a good chance there is a Body or powertrain code stored in the computer to indicate a problem in the cluster, body control module, wiring, or combination of those. The only way to know is to get that code read. after experiencing the same problem with the fuel gage, temp gage and service light, we kept using the Saturn only to have the car not go out of park, and the door lock malfunction.Took it to Saturn dealer and diagnosed it as having the body control module replaced. to the tune of over $400.you cannot do this yourself as the module needs to be programed after installation with a special machine.

Do you need a special tool to change the hub assemblies on a 95 Saturn SL2?
Is this the front assembly or the rear? I can't say for sure on the rear, but on the front, you will need a very large socket for the nut at the outside of the hub assembly. I don't recall for sure, but I think it's like 30mm. Check before you buy a socket for it, as they are expensive. Also, you may want to have a pickle fork to break the ball joints loose up front. Aside from the large nut at the outside of the hub assembly, the largest wrench you will need is 19mm. If you can find a Chiltons manual for a Saturn SL, it will walk you through the entire process of removal and re-assembly. . Found this link to change a Saturn S-Series front hub. It worked perfectly as all the pictures were extremely helpful.
