On the timing belt side of the motor. On the timing belt side of the motor.
1342. Number one is the cylinder closest to the timing belt.
yes it is, if you broke the timing belt there is about a 90% chance you bent a valve
no. there totally different. the timing belt is connected to the crank pulley and the cam shaft pulley. the serpentine belt is attached to your ac if you have it, the alternator, water pump, and power steering pump (but you have a crx like me so you have rack and pinoin unless converted to power) and is driven by the crank pulley. the crank pulley usually has 2 belts running off of it a external belt and a internal belt or chain. internals timing. exturnal is the other belt
You need to go to a car parts store, and get a repair manual for your car. They cost about $16.00 Or, go to a Public Library.
If it is a CRX then I believe it is an interference engine and yes you could have possibly damaged your valves pistons or both with the timing belt failure. The only way to know for sure is to do a compression test on the vehicle assuming it will still turn over after you fix the timing belt
Its under the timing cover. Do it each time you replace the timing belt between 60,000 or every 5 years if you don't drive so much. Do the tensioner as well as preventive maintenance.
the timing belt runs the waterpump.
The 1986 Honda CRX already has a 1.5.
Civic Racing eXperiment = CRX
Honda produced the CRX from 1983 to 1991. Honda is releasing a car in 2011 called the CR-Z, it is a hybrid remake of the CRX. Check it out!
It is best to change both at the same time. Not sure the answer to your ? but again if you change one go ahead and do the other too.
theres no fan belt on front wheel drive motors. only a fan motor
There are many places online where an individual can purchase the vehicle Honda CRX SI. Examples would include eBay, CRX SI website, and Honda's official website.
The Honda CRX features a cable type clutch and therefore does not have fluid. The CRX Del Sol however features a hydraulic assembly and does.
For crx si the hp is 108.
To remove the alternator on 1988 Honda CRX the negative battery must first be disconnected. The belt needs to be loosen and the mounting bolts need to be removed as well. When unmounted the alternator will slide off, and a new unit can be replaced.
no, because there is no such thing as a 1999 CRX
Yes, It will. HF and the Si versions are interference type motors! It won't kill your entire engine but you will have too rebuild the head because of the bent valves!!!
If by CRX you mean an 84-91 CRX then no. They have a cable clutch, however the del sol aka CRX del sol does.
84 CRX ??? help me here CRX went 88 to 91/92 then came Del Sol CRX???
what do you mean timing specs. your question is a little vague. are you talking about cam specs or ignition timing. the cam you line up the marks on the gear to the head and the ignition timing is about 15 degrees before top dead center
