what has to be removed to get to fuel filter
to hard.. get a mechanic to do it.......
you can change the fluid, but not the filter. drain the fluid from the drain plug on the bottom of the transmission and refill from the dipstick. the filter is only accessable by overhauling the transmission
Check transmission fluid level Change transmission fluid and filter
Where exactly it the fuel filter located on my 1996 Mazda protege 1.5 motor.
No there is no filter ur best bet will be a transmission flush at a oil change place
The filter is up in the bottom of the transmission. You will have to take the transmission pan off of the bottom of the transmission to get to it.
Its located under the air cleaner. Very easy to change.
inside the transmission.
Mounted inside the transmission.
In the engine bay
change both the fluid and filter every 50,000 miles
You'll likely have to remove the transmission pan. Perhaps it has a drain plug. Perhaps not. But either way if you change the fluid, you want to change the filter which is underneath the pan. Changing the fluid without changing the filter is not suggested.
Inside the transmission. The pan must be removed to access the filter.
There is no drain plug in the automatic transmission pan , you have to drop the pan with transmission fluid in it , if you want to change the filter etc.
If you have not done so, change the transmission filter and fluid; I would also flush the transmission.
Inside the transmission under the pan.
Since you have to drop the pan in order to change the filter, follow the instructions in the "Related Question" below...
Five on a filter change, or 12 when dry from an overhaul.
there isn't one
No it will not but I actually have a transmission for a 1999 Mazda 626, it only has 80,000 miles on it, get back to me if your interested, thanks. My e-mail is firstname.lastname@example.org.
IF YOU have never done it, Then do it now Fluid and filter. Then change it every 20,000 miles there after.
all you have to do is take the pan cover off. which is located just behind the raditor on the driver side. you do not have to take out the transmission to do so.
drain plug or take the whole transmission pan off and you can change the filter too and put new gasket on
