How do you change the transmission fluid for a 1991 Suzuki Sidekick 4WD that has a manual transmission?

The will be a plug on the transmission case near the bottom. The plugs fita 3/8ths inch ratchet. The will be one down low to drain and one a few inches above/ and forward to fill. DO NO not remove the hex bold head near by, this will cause the idler gear to fall out, (Bad news) all drains and fills are 3/8" female pipe plugs. use gear oil in the tranny and xfr case. and hypoid oil in the diffs. fill till fluid dribbles out level with fill hole. takes a hand pump to do it.

Hey dude, you did not specify if it is automatic or standard transmission. If it is Manual Transmission, it is located on top of the transmission.

you forgot to say what transmission. 3p 4p or 5sp all are diff. answer, drain then fill to mark see owner manual, free at all suz, dealers. the 3sp is the dog, it has no drain, so need hUGE drain pan.

First we have to know Automatic or manual. A/T is easy: add the fluid in the same place as the dipstick. M/T you have to get under the car...
