You will need to remove the valve cover from your 1995 Mercury Villager. Peel the valve cover gasket off of the valve cover. Clean the valve cover surface. Apply the new valve cover gasket.

Try taking the cover off of the fuse box, and then looking inside of the cover. Many times, there is a chart on the inside of the cover, indicating the fuse locations!

you do not need to remove intake manifold to change valve cover gaskets. intake bolts to the block. valve covers bolt to the heads EDIT: Theirs some clearance issues but you can maneuver the valve cover out.

It mostly uses pop-off fasteners. There are one or two screws at the top for a cover.

The oil pump is basically the front cover of the engine and is driven by the crankshaft. You WILL need a repair manual for this operation.

To change the valve cover gaskets on a 1998 Chevy Cavalier 2.2L, disconnect the battery cables. Then use a wrench to loosen the valve cover bolts. Remove the old gasket from the cover and the manifold using a cleaner designed for this purpose (found at automotive parts stores). Put adhesive on the manifold, and valve cover. Line with a new gasket on the valve cover and replace the valve covers. Tighten the bolts and re-connect the battery.

I just got an estimate today for my 2000 Toyota V6 Solara. They said $600 to change the valve cover gaskets due to the fact that it was difficult to get to and labor intensive, about 6 hours worth.

Remove the bolts around the valve covers then the hoses. If your not familiar with working on cars you can take a picture of it before you start removing parts that way you will now where everything goes . Also check out youtube

Most Likely A Leak, Caused By The Gasket Needing Replaced On Valve Cover. When You Install Gaskets Put In A New PCV Valve This Should Take Care Of It.

There are a few gaskets on a car:- Cylinder Head, Water Pump, Inlet Manifold, Exhaust Manifold, Sump Cover,Thermostat Housing,Transmission Sump,Tappet Cover,Valley cover,Side Cover,Sump Plug,Differential Sump Plug, Transmission Sump Plug, Oil Filter, Oil Pump,Fuel Pump, I'm sure there are more but these will get you started Also door gaskets and window gaskets.

It is under the hood on the right hand side of the engine fire wall. there is a black cover over it. Once you have the cover removed, there is a selenoid diagram as to which on is which. Just pop out the old one and put in the new.
