First make sure your fuel pump fuses aren't blown. If they are ok you will need to check the wiring harness from the fuel pump and make sure it has fire to it. If it does it is probably the pump if the engine is firing and you are not getting fuel.
Fuel pressure test. First thing to do is replace the fuel filter. If that does not help, then test the fuel pump with a fuel pressure tester. If you can't hear it run for a few seconds when the key is turned on, either the pump is bad, or the fuse is blown, or the fuel pump relay is defective. Even if you hear it running, it may be so weak as not to work properly.
If its Fuel Injection U put a FI pressure gauge on the Fuel Rail.
you must find the fuel line to motor , it can be traced from under the car. remove line from connection on the motor. Start car if gas appears it is something else.
Electric fuel pump? then yes. You got to hook up power from a batter to pos side and you can test, however not a good idea to run to long with no gasoline going through it.
Turn the ignition on and see if you hear a humming coming from the pump. If it is inside the fuel tank, you can hear it from the back seat.
Check your fuel pump and fuel injectors. Have a fuel pressure and flow test done.
test for power to fuel pump. sounds like you need a new coil as well
It is part of the fuel pump module in the tank.
The fuel pump relay on a 1991 Subaru Loyale is located on the driver's side of the engine compartment. It is part of a bank of relay switches on the fender wall and right next to the Self Test Connector which is the last location on the far right.

A fuel pump pressure test could determine the condition of the fuel pump and fuel system.
Start with a fuel pump pressure test.
Where is the fuel pump fuse and relay on 1994 BMW 525i and how can I test to see why my fuel pump won't work
With a fuel pressure test at the fuel rail.
Fuel Pump fuse, relay, fuel filter, and all connections. A fuel pressure test will verify a defective fuel pump, or if it is simply not running, and has current to it.Fuel Pump fuse, relay, fuel filter, and all connections. Have a fuel pump pressure test done.
No, the fuel pump relay engages and sends voltage to the fuel pump. The fuel pump requires 12 V DC to operate properly. A fuel pressure test will verify the condition of the fuel pump.
If that is throttle body fuel injection, there is no fuel pump test port. You have to fabricate with some fittings and tap into the fuel line at the fuel filter.
I believe this question is related to fuel pump pressure testing...... these test are done by scanning ecu
