#1 start the engine
#2 let engine run for 15 minutes
#3 with engine running, pull the dipstick out (NOT the one that says "engine" on it)
#4 wipe the dipstick (the one you pulled out of the engine, not the helper)
#5 reinsert the dipstick into the hole you just pulled it out from
#6 with the engine running, pull the dipstick out ( no, this is not a misprint)
#7 look at the dipstick ( the one from the car), you will see either a crosshatch area or two small holes about a half inch apart, the fluid should be in the middle of these areas (please don't cheat by turning the dipstick upside down, after all, its Your car not mines). Most likely your 300 does not have a transmission dipstick and you will have to take it to the dealer to have the fluid level checked.
The dipstick is a dealer only special tool.
It requires the dipstick, which is a special tool that only the dealer has.

Take it to your friendly Chrysler dealer. Checking the transmission fluid level on newer Chrysler transmissions require a special tool in addition to an OBDII scan tool.
