It's actually very simple. The plus next to your horse name, just click on it. Here you'll have several options, like changing the name and so. Including a very easy way to change the specialty.

∙ 11y agoGo to the plus icon at the side of your horse's name, there, if your horse is under five years it will show. You can then change to Western or Classical. BTW my username is harrington. :D
