How do you clear the low level coolant light from the dash?
This is actually the Low Coolant idiot light. Pop the hood check the coolant level, when designing the level sensor, the engineers screwed up and it throws the light even when the tank is up to the MAX line. Just add your coolant water mixture till the light goes off, making sure there is still some room in the tank for overflow once the fluid is heated.

When someone say's "Check the coolant level" they simply mean to open the hood and look at that little white bottle on the passenger side fender to make sure that the bottle is full of coolant/water mixture. It has a line on it that say's "Full When Hot". If the light on the dash stays on and the bottle is full, shake the bottle, the float inside the bottle is stuck.

If no leaks are noticeable and the engine temperature does not increase, continue to drive to the nearest service station and have the coolant added to…
A Coolant Level Sensor is like a multimeter which measures resistance of a certain amount of water. Water has conductive minerals in it therefore conducts electricity. A certain amount of water has a certain resistance to electricity. Fixing this voltage at, for clarity's sake, 12.0v, we can change the resistance of the conductor carrying this 12v by adding more water (and the minerals which conduct in it), or taking water away. like a fuel guage…
What does the dash light with the jagged bottom and a line going up on each side with an exclamation mark mean?
I put water besides engine coolant in my achieva 95 is there any problem because the light in the dash didnt turn off?
In the radiator there is a sensor about 1/3rd of the way down from the top with 1 wire connected to it. When the sensor goes bad the low coolant light stays on. On our GM products replacing the sensor in the radiator turns the light off. The wire from the sensor to the dash light could have a bare spot in it and be touching metal witch would turn it on but I have…

Sitting in the driver's seat, facing forward, the white coolant tank is on your right side inner fender wall. At the bottom front of the tank, there's a connector attached. This connector is for that coolant level indicator on the dash. Unplug it to see if this turns off the indicator, if so, consider replacing the sensor that you just unplugged or just leave it unplugged if you know for sure the tank is filled…
