How do you compare the speed of a warm front to a cold front?

Fronts are simply weather changes. Warm fronts and cold fronts can vary in speed depending on many factors. One front is not always faster or slower then another.

The speed is dependent on other fronts position, as well as prevailing winds and their speed.... and many other factors. That is why even the weather people have no idea what tomorrow will bring. the weather people can predict what can happen tomorrow
